The ask
Melissa asked for a 3D install video for the new Butyl Stainless Steel Tape, plus a YouTube Short to test. She sent the install directions and product photos. This is a product‑launch asset, so it should look clean, credible, and consistent with Polyguard's other install videos (Insulrap, WaxWrap). SKU/pricing were requested and are pending.
The product
Butyl Stainless Steel Tape — 3" roll. Embossed stainless‑steel facer · black butyl adhesive · peel‑off release liner.
What it is

Deliverables
1 · Full install video
~60–90s, 16:9. System reveal → step‑by‑step tape application → finished, sealed detail. VO + captions + brand bookend.
2 · YouTube Short
~20–30s, 9:16. Hook → the satisfying peel‑place‑roll → clean result → logo/CTA. A punchy cutdown to test engagement.
3 · Job‑site product photosNEW — all Polyguard kits
Homepage‑style hero shots: the real tape (accurate label) staged in a believable application setting — a balcony/deck transition, wall base on concrete, with tools. Product accuracy first, then a natural setting.
Approach — our proven Polyguard install pipeline (Track A)
Same instructional‑3D language we built for Insulrap: a clean 3D assembly with line‑art styling, animated brand callouts, a professional voiceover, burned‑in captions, and the Polyguard motion‑logo bookend. The labeled balcony/deck detail you sent is a perfect blueprint for the geometry and the final "system reveal." Every install video ends on the standard CTA: "Visit Polyguard.com for your next project."
Storyboard — full video
1
Brand sting — Polyguard motion logo (our standard open).
2
Product hero — the tape roll; name + "stainless‑steel faced butyl sealing tape."
3
Establish the detail — the balcony/deck transition where it's used.
4
Prep & primer — primed substrate/deck (650 LT/WB), membrane + 105‑12 flashing in place.
5
Peel & place — release liner pulls back as the tape lands on the transition.
6
Press & roll — firm pressure / roller; call out full contact, no wrinkles or fishmouths.
7
Overlaps & terminations — quick note to follow Polyguard details.
8
System reveal — pull back to the finished, numbered assembly (like your detail).
9
CTA + outro sting — "Visit Polyguard.com for your next project."
Open items before we build
SKU & pricing — requested from Melissa; not blocking concept, needed before final on‑screen product ID.
Style sign‑off — recommend matching the Insulrap install‑video look (consistency across the library); the realistic labeled detail informs the reveal. Confirm or we'll show a quick style option.
Primary scene — confirm the balcony/deck transition is the right hero application (vs. a more generic wall/floor).
Voiceover — default is our standard install narrator; confirm or specify.
Timeline
Once style + storyboard are approved, we build the full video, cut the YouTube Short from it, and produce the job‑site product photos in parallel — delivered together for your review.
Prepared by Bezar Video Studio for Polyguard. Recommended first step: lock the style + storyboard, then build the full video and cut the Short from it.
